How to flash GOSPACE IoT Sensors - old

PREPARATION

  1. Please first download our Android application (here down) named “ble-bootloader-3.5.apk”

  2. Then enable Bluetooth and GPS, and open the App.

  3. Then download your FW file to Android phone: *****.zip (file ends with .zip) - that FW was sent to you probably in a customer support ticket or email.

  4. In the application, select the zip file by clicking on „LOAD FILE“ and find the downloaded file named „*****.zip“

  5. Check “Use .zip with CRC“


If you can Flash Fleximodo PS Mini, please uncheck “Use .zip with CRC“ and use XBF file.

 

 

FLASHING THE SENSORS

 

  1. When nearby the sensors, click the SCAN button:

 

The app starts the scan process – please wait until it finishes (i.e. until the green wheel stops spinning)

 

After the scan is finished, the app now sees what sensors are nearby. Click on the small arrow to see the list of nearby sensors: 

If the sensor is not scanned via the app, please attach a magnet to the sensor for at least 5 sec to enable Bluetooth advertising.

 

2. If you select now a sensor from the list and the correct XBF file (green line in the picture below), you can press FLASH. Now the app starts sending the firmware to the sensor – you can see the progress via the percentage:

 

3. Please wait until 100 % - it takes a minute or two.

Please do not use your phone while sensing firmware to the sensor (do not click anywhere, dont use other apps, dont make phone calls etc), so the sending stays uninterrupted. We recommend to enable also the „airplane mode“ while sending firmware to the sensors, so you don’t get unexpected phone calls.

 

4. Once the process is finished, you can continue with the next sensor.
